For guests who do not have a residential address in Japan, under the Hotel Business Law, it is required to record name, address, and contact information in the guest registry, in addition to nationality and passport number.
Furthermore, in accordance with regulations set forth by the Government of Japan, guests are also requested to present their passport and allow a photocopy to be taken.
