• [Jougasaki Coast]
    A deeply-indented shoreline with a cliff at a height of 30 to 40m. Jogasaki Coast was formed approximately 4000 years ago by eruptions of a volcanic cluster. View the beautiful landscape on a stroll down the Jogasaki Picnical Course boardwalk created along the coast or around the extended bridge.

  • [Jougasaki Suspension Bridges]
    Found in the nature research trail of 6km within Yawatano and the ocean park. There are two bridges, Kadowaki Bridge and Hashidate Bridge. Spanning 23m above the sea, Kadowaki Bridge is a well-known suspension bridge in Jougasaki as you can view a kaleidoscope of the sea from it. Hashidate Bridge near Yawatano is 60m long and will give you quite a thrill.

  • [Mt. Omuro]
    The symbol of Izu Highlands as it draws a gentle curve like a bowl turned down. Altitude of 581m. The center of the crater has a diameter of approximately 300m and the vertical drop from the top of the mountain is 70m, forming the shape of an earthenware mortar. Ride the lift to reach the top of the mountain and take a look around the crater of 1km. Get a full view of Izu Highlands as well as Izu Shichito Islands and Mount Fuji.

  • [Cherry Blossoms at Izu Highlands “Sakura no Sato”]
    3,000 trees of approximately 40 different types from all over the country are grown in “Sakura no Sato,” which extends across 40,000 m² on the west of Mt. Omuro. You can view cherry blossoms in September and in October, when the spring cherry blossoms bloom for a second time. Rare species can be seen as well as the early-blooming Kawazu cherry blossoms.
    The rape blossoms in the spring and cosmos in the autumn are also a sight that will please the eyes. This location has been certified as among the top 100 sites in Japan for cherry blossoms.

  • [Lake Ippeki]
    Lake Ippeki is the largest natural lake in the Ito peninsula. It is gourd-shaped with a circumference of 4km. Here you can enjoy boating, fishing for deep-bodied crucian carp or lure-fishing. Bird-watching while following the trail is another popular activity as you may find a variety of cute, wild birds that live in Izu. In the autumn, crimson foliage is reflected in the lake for a stunning sight.

  • [Akazawa Pool, Bowling (DHC)]
    Spend a relaxing time in a boundless area enfolded in lush nature. You can find outdoor pools and open terrace
    restaurants at the Akazawa Pool House, which is surrounded by a thick forest. Colorful beach parasols are lined up on the side of the pool. “Akazawa Bowl” is a 20-lane bowling alley with a Japanese motif and is equipped with the newest facilities.

  • [Mt. Komuro Park]
    South of Kawana, Mt. Komuro Park displays the natural settings of Mt. Komuro with the mountain’ s altitude reaching 321m. It includes an azalea garden as well as a dinosaur plaza and is quite popular among visitors who come with their families. During the azalea festival in May, the entire area is covered in brilliant colors. Ride the lift to the top of Mt.Komuro and get a 360 degree view of the area.

  • [Izu Shaboten Park]
    Find succulent plants and cactus grown in allotted areas at the Izu Shaboten Park located at the foot of Mt. Omuro.Capybara, rare monkeys, meerkats, llamas, tapir, kangaroos,sloths and all kinds of animals and birds are raised in an almost natural environment.

  • [Izu Granpal Park]
    The Izu Granpal Park boasts of covering a vast area of 220,000 m². The cycad jungle with 50,000 trees is quite a sight to see. It also serves as a field park in which everyone both old and young may fully enjoy with its golf area in which visitors may participate in a full-fledged session of putting golf, a sports area, Tom Sawyer’s Adventure Zone, a carnival zone and the like.

  • [Izu Ocean Park]
    This park that extends 220,000 m² includes a variety of recreation facilities such as a hydrangea “ajisai” garden in which 3000 original strains of 230 species can be seen, “Bougainvillea Greenhouse” with its everlasting spring flowers, a beach garden restaurant as well as a small and large swimming pool.
